AFC Leopards and Sofapaka drew 1-1 in their SportPesa League match on Saturday evening.
Sofapaka took the lead in the 6th minute when Djafari Satala scored after a mistake in the Leopards’ defence. AFC responded strongly, with Kelly Madada causing problems on the wing but failing to score.

Their equaliser came in the 22nd minute when Boniface Kweyu fired in a rebound from Victor Otieno’s corner.
Both coaches, Fred Ambani for AFC and Ezekiel Akwana for Sofapaka, made several changes in the second half to try and win the game. Ronald Sichenje hit the upright for Leopards, while Joseph Kuloba and Douglas Koech missed good chances for Sofapaka.
Goalkeeper Victor Nayo Nayo stood tall for Sofapaka, denying AFC’s aerial attacks. Tyson Otieno, the brother of Gor Mahia star Austin Odhiambo, injected fresh energy for AFC after joining the match.
